BUILDING PLANS

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything - Hebrews 3:4

Orphan Care & Education

Ghana currently has over 1.1 million orphans and over 204,000 homeless children. Most children in Ghana drop out of school by the 6th grade because they financially cannot afford to continue schooling. This breaks our heart!

We believe that change happens in this region #RightHere and #RightNow. We have a heart for these children. In Mark 9:36-37 Jesus took up a child in his arms and he said to the people, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” That is a reminder to all of us how much Jesus loves children. As a church, we should have a heart for the children just like Jesus; particularly those who are stuck in a cycle of poverty. Moreover, these children are largely not impacted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ghana’s main religions are Isalm, Traditional Beliefs, and Hinduism which is the fastest-growing religion in the country. With that being said, Ghana is in desperate need of humanitarian help and spiritual help. We aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus in that region for the Glory of God!

We need facilities to fulfill our mission. We currently have two orphans in our care, Epiphiana who is 13 years old and Rachel who is 7 years old. We would have many more orphans but they are currently living in a small apartment with missionaries and there is no more room for any more. There are two main phases that we are building toward to have adequate space to do ministry:

1) The Children’s Home- This structure will feature separate dormitories for boy and girls and their house parents. Building plans call for a Kitchen/Cafeteria, Washing Area, Office, and living quarters for staff missionaries. The estimated cost for the Children’s Home is $100,000.

2) School- This structure will feature 12 classrooms, a library, an assembly hall, and office spaces for school staff. The estimated costs for the school is $79,000.

The One:Eight Project will primarily focus on building the Children’s home first and then once funding is received for that project we will then turn our focus over to the building of the school. These facilities will provide a space for Christian care and Christian education for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to thrive.

We need your help! Please consider partnering with us to make our vision a reality.
